This editorial has caused quite a stir amongst fashion lovers and critics. Lara's "Black" face was deemed as unacceptable by many, hurtful to some, and praised by others.
I appreciate such uses of make-up and creativity, especially being a make-up artist. It isn't an easy task to transform paler skin into warmer, brown tones. People have argued that it is still a display of racism by transforming a white model into a "black model". Some find it offensive that a black model wasn't used inplace of Lara.
