Nose Contouring | Lala Vasquez, Kim Kardashian & Kelly Rowland

The ladies look gorgeous, but toooo much contouring for an evening out on the town.

When is enough, enough?

Well, look at the bridge of each girl's nose. You can see a clear distinction from the color on the bridge of the nose, compared to the color on the area immediately surrounding the bridge.  The bridge of the nose is much lighter in tone, creating a highlight and the illusion of a slimmer, thinner nose. This type of contouring is common in fashion editorials or for celebrities who want a very made up, contoured look .

-----------------------------------------------------------------

My recommendation: If you want to use make-up to contour your face and create a slimmer, thinner nose, follow these steps:

1. Choose a concealer | foundation that is lighter than your normal complexion, but not too light where it becomes extremely obvious.  At most, choose a shade two to three shades lighter than your normal complexion.

2. Make sure you blend it in well, so there isn't an obvious line of demarcation.

3. Make sure to set your concealer with a translucent powder so your make-up stays put!

4. Smile. You look great, and your nose looks more slim.

I decided to enlarge this image so you could really see the make-up.  This is a great make-up look for anyone, really.  What you see below is:

* A clean, natural face [foundation]
* A soft, natural, warm-toned smoky eye
* A natural blush which compliments the eye shade
 * Soft, pale pink lip gloss

Pretty.

How to: Liquid Eyeliner

Liquid Eyeliner is friend to many women, and enemies to many more! Why? Well, because the "art" of applying eyeliner seems tricky, complicated & time consuming. Most women get discouraged easily applying eyeliner because of the number of errors typically made & the messiness. I love the eyeliner looks displayed at Chanel's 2009 Fall Couture show, and will use them as an example on how to create a liquid, lined eye.

Here is an easy way to achieve this look on your eyes:
-
1. Find the best liquid eyeliner for you, because there are many types.
2. Start by outlining the shape with the eyeliner. [see picture #2]
3. Once you have the shape, use eye make-up remover to clean up the lines with a Q-tip. [see picture #3]
4. Once the lines and outline are neat and satisfactory to you, color in-between the lines, like a coloring book!
